heritage blog.

i am indeed BACK.
Back from traveling the road.
Back from staying in some ranchy hotels.
Back from sitting on a bus for 7000 miles.
Back from some of the best 3 weeks of my life.
Heritage Tours was AWESOME. I really can't put into words how wonderful it was!
I had the opportunity to visit just about every church history site there was back east and I had so many great experiences that stregthened my testimony. My favorite places were the Susquehanna River where the priesthood was restored, the Nauvoo temple, Adam-Ondi-Ahman,  and the grave of Alvin Smith. At those place I felt just peace and love. Church History is AWESOME!
But not only did I just go to spiritual places, I was able to spend a day in New York City! Dream come true! Although it literally was raining alllll day, and we walked 40 blocks (or 80, if you will) trying to get to canal street, it was amazing. Shopping, broadway show of Mary Poppins, the girls (jenn&amanda), my delcious melt and swiss hot chocolate from the Europa Cafe, and the atmosphere made it all so worth it. I can not WAIT to go back! Also, I was able to see Niagara Falls in New York! I even did the maid of the mist and got to go up really close to the falls! It was so beautiful! One day I even drove through an Amish town. It was rad to the max. Saw the chin beards and buggies.
There were also so many boys with/recieving mission calls! It was so neat! My truly bestest friend, Tanner recieved his call and will be serving in the Toronto Canada East mission! But, there were lots of boys with calls in places like San Diego, England, Argentina, Ghana, and Nicaragua. I am so excited for all of them! Nothing sounds better to me then sharing the church to people! On this trip I so loved talking to people about the church. It is very intimidating, but the spirit you feel when doing it is AWESOME. I talked to a man in a Mall in Ohio I believe, he was a ministers son and I told him about the church and he was very interested. In the end I was able to give away a pass-a-long card! Many people were also able to give away Book of Mormons! One of my favorite things when talking to people were their misconceptions about the church. Such as one lady asked me why i wasn't wearing my outfit or if i had a lot of moms :) it was funny.
OVERALL... this trip was just what i needed in my life. It was so much fun, but It also made me a stronger person. It also made me more greatful for being blessed in my life, and more aware of how happy the church made me feel.
The rest of this story can only be told in pictures of course:) enjoy. (for more go HERE. there are 3 albums)
