lesson to be learned:

Everything happens for a reason.

i am really being taught this right now. and though i don't understand why- i sure hope there is something good that will come from it. because right now, i am super sad. and crying.

and SUPER disappointed. i thought it was exactly what i needed in my life. and i wanted it more than anything at this moment in my life.

but i am not giving up. i will re-apply in 6 months.

Disney--i think you may have made a small mistake. but i will be back.

on friday i got sick. it was NOT fun.

and pretty much the rest of the weekend i have been dealing with a upset tummy.

but it was a good weekend. i felt like i accomplished a lot of the little things that get over looked all the time. (like cleaning my room.)

I also wanted to say that i have a favorite song. pretty sure it's my fave. i go through phases where its all i listen to... and this weekend marks the 10th phase we have shared with one another.

and i am pretty sure my mom is getting REALLY annoyed with me singing it all thee time. and i even tricked my dad into watching the video to it. but, it's my one true love. and will be for a long time.

and tonight, Sunday night. my daddy made me a peach shake.

correction: FRESH peach shake.

it was insanely good.

little does everyone know that my Dad makes insanely delish milkshakes. i die for them.

and i love that its fall. scarves and cardis!

(even though mr. ksl 5 weather man claims high temps. PSH. we'll wait and see BUB.)

tomorrow starts a new week. i am ready. especially for the weekend! FOR IT IS CONFERENCE!

man oh man.

this week has been so weird!! I have had LOTS of homework due. and have spent a ton of time studying and such, but when it comes to the test and quizzes... they are like EASY X399. odd.

but now I am done for the week!! no homework for tomorrow!

But even though I have been busy with homework i still managed to fit in some good times.

TUESDAY: Emily G. & and made Chocolate Pumpkin Cuppycakes with Meringue. (did you know Meringue takes like 100 years to make. I DID NOT!)

We then took them to the best lady ever.

 THEN of course i watched GLEE. my favorite show. ah.ah.ah.and i CAN NOT WAIT FOR THE BRITNEY SPEARS EPISODE.

and that is pretty much the extent of the fun for my week.

oh. wednesday i took some cupcakes to my cousin Heather M. caught her and Amanda doing yoga on SKYPE! hahahahah

and i made a drive by with brandee... shouldn't say where. we are creeps.

AND I WENT TO INSTITUTE. my favorite class BY FAR. (there is a really cute man in my class that makes it a wee bit better. the end.)

i just finished making some homemade ice cream sandwiches.

Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Sandwiches to be exact!

From the le Bon Appetit mazagine. (my fave. i have two of their largest cookbooks)

its like a graham/brown sugar outside with the ice cream in the middle.

then i dipped them in Ghiradelli Chocolate and coated them with toffee BITZ.

oh. SO GOOD. I KNOW.

OH. and i received a gash from the serrated knife while cutting the darn ICE C. sandys. nice.

and this week while eating my favorite cereal (naturally, corn flakes.) one of the flakes stabbed the top of my mouth and gashed it and it was bleeding!! a cut from corn flakes? weeeeird. i know.

2 years. 2 years.

It's insane to me that my best friend, Elduh Tanner Wheadon went into the MTC today. Start of the mish. I am kind of jealous. for 2 reasons. 1/ ERRone in Canada couldn't be more lucky. 2/ i wish i was going on a mission.

I swear he just got the call.

It's such an odd feeling. Truly. Yesterday at our final goodbye with Brand, Em, Tann, and I it was almost awkward.but of course we were all emotional.

and for the past couple of days I just keep thinking about the most hilarious times all of us shared. alllll starting on the hill by his house. :) hahah

i am sooo happy for him though. and writing letters/emails is going to be the best thing.. i just don't know if i will be saying that in a year though!

i can't wait for the reunion of these 6 people in dos years.

i wish my life were more exciting... oh well. I am patient. good things will come!

I was really uplifted today in Institute today! Often when things are going bad or even just are hard we often think we are doing something wrong. BUT THAT'S WRONG! Satan brings us down when we are doing the RIGHT things. I have never really thought of things that way:) Institute is the best. I just love Bro. Barthalomew.

and then just this morn. this little gem of a scripture popped up on my phone! (my phone is so nice! she gives me a daily scripture to read!) D&C 84:45. CH-CHECK IT OUT.

Idaho-weekend.

okkk... so sorry about that semi-over-reaction last post. it was late. but i was still excited. (seriously i had people calling and texting waiting to hear some insanely great stuff. they didn't think what i had to say was that cool.) dont get me wrong, THE NEWS WAS GRAND. but probably just for me.

This weekend I was able to go to Idaho Falls and see my cousin and her little fam. get sealed in the temple. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL.

But what I was most excited for was... I GOT TO SEE MY COUSIN CELESTE. She flew from Colorado Springs and suprised everyone!

She is seriously my best friend. It has been 1.3 years since i have seen her lovely face and that was when she got hitched. Since then she had a BABY. Braelyn Jo. Cutest babe ever.

This weekend was such a great time to see her, and catch up because it might be another YEAR before I can see her next.

and even though i was only there to see her for like 18 hours, SO WORTH IT.

When I am doing my math homework, or once it is late at night i usually like to catch up on my fave television. I don't watch toooo many shows. but i do have my favorites. My two favorite shows start in just about 2 weeks! September 21. ahhh I LOVE TUESDAYS.

GLEE!

i.am.so.in.love.with.this.show. this season is going to be the best yet. (and secretly i am extremely excited for the Britney Spears episode!)

-Jonas LA. i am such a sucker to the cheesiness of Disney Channel. and the Jonas Brothers. When I am bored, you may or may not see me watching Hannah Montana, Sonny with a Chance, or a little Wizards of Waverly Place.
-Keeping up with the Kardashians. This is really random, but i just think these girls are hilarious. Tyler will usually watch it with me. I LOVE IT.
oh. and ps. i watched Camp Rock 2 today. I LUHV. watch it.
and the miscellaneous shows:
-Dog the Bounty Hunter.  it's just TOO GOOD.
-and if i am up reallly late. OPRAH.

this.is.a.mess.

my brain is so scattered right now. thinking about a billion and 4 things. LYKE--

• the fact that i spent four-hundred-and-fifteen bucks on BOOKS for college. yes, let me say it again. $415 dollars/hard earned money on textbooks. (tax NOT included.) and the fact that 3 of those books just HAD TO be the new edition so i couldn't get a used copy. this is no joke my blog stalking friends.
• MY HAIR IS THE LONGEST IT'S BEEN IN OVER 2 YEARS! after saying, "i am growing my hair out" ninety-thousand times, I CAN DO THIS!!
• how gosh darn excited i am for my CHURCH HISTORY Institute class!!! I am serious. i am a church hist. nerd. this will be the BEST! especially because brandee is in my class:)
• the best person leaves in 2 weeks for the mish. HOW AMAZING. feels like we were just on Heritage Tours last week opening the call.
• how much more I like John Mayer NOT WASTED. (more to come.)
• when John sang Edge of Desire, i got emotional.
• this lady is pregnant. FINALLY. i can't wait.(i really almost screamed when i found out.)
• how excited/nervous i am to start the Culinary program next semester. My sanitation class right now is just NOT CUTTING IT.
• Harlem?
• My requirements for my future husband list is expanding. IMMENSELY.
• What shall i wear tomorrow?
• the most fun/awkward/hilarious date i have ever been on. almost 2 years ago.
• CORN FLAKES ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
• i still want to speak french. crossing fingers for next semest.
• this guy thinks i prank called him, but in reality i DID NOT. dont even have his number. 
• can't figure out why this guy is always staring at me in Math.
• i want to star gaze with someone.
• and why do i have 3 jobs and go to school full time? beats me. (but reallly it's beating me. i am so sleepy and never see or have time to talk to friends.)
